Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) and Tabung Amanah Pekerja (TAP) have formalised a collaborative partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing entrepreneurship awareness, financial literacy, and talent development among UTB students and alumni.
The MoU was signed by the Vice-Chancellor of UTB, Yang Mulia Datin Paduka Professor Dr Dayang Hajah Zohrah Haji Sulaiman, and TAP Interim Managing Director, Yang Mulia Azmilen bin Haji Ramlee, during a ceremony held at the UTB campus. Also in attendance at the signing ceremony were members of UTB and TAP Management Team.
The partnership seeks to promote understanding and participation in TAP’s various schemes, particularly in the Skim Persaraan Kebangsaan for Self-Employed (SPK SE). Through this initiative, UTB and TAP aim to strengthen awareness of SPK SE among UTB students, graduates, and self-employed individuals; equip students with entrepreneurial skills and resources to encourage innovation and self-employment; support online registration for SPK SE to enhance long-term financial preparedness; and enrich the student entrepreneurship ecosystem through awareness programmes, workshops, and collaborative activities. Both institutions are committed to optimising their collective expertise and resources to advance shared goals aligned with national and institutional priorities.
This partnership underscores UTB and TAP’s shared commitment to strengthening Brunei Darussalam’s human capital, fostering innovation-led growth, and supporting the nation's socio-economic and digital transformation aspirations.
