The Role
Support independent, risk-based internal audits by assessing governance, risk management and internal controls, analysing evidence and communicating practical recommendations. This role helps strengthen accountability, compliance and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
- Support risk-based internal audit planning, objectives and engagement scopes.
- Plan and conduct financial, operational, compliance and, where applicable, information technology and data audits.
- Assess governance, risk management and internal controls, identify issues and recommend practical improvements.
- Develop audit programmes, analyse data, document work and maintain sufficient evidence in line with professional standards.
- Review audit work across planning, fieldwork, reporting and completion to support quality and timely delivery.
- Prepare clear, objective reports and communicate findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
- Work with stakeholders to resolve queries, agree corrective actions and monitor implementation.
- Support quality reviews, external assurance coordination, special reviews or investigations, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience
- At least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Information Technology, Business, or another relevant discipline recognised by the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
- Work experience in auditing will be an advantage.
- Knowledge and practical experience in governance, risk management, and the identification and assessment of risks and controls.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), or other relevant professional qualifications would be an advantage.
